TPS relay trick (REALLY LONG)

All you guys wondering about OBDII, Lundgren has it on his car and really likes the results. Just thought I would let you know.

Numerous people have done the mod to both OBD1 & OBD2 vehicles with great success.

So can anyone give us some idea of what their results were other than positive? Like fuel economy, how it feels under acceleration, etc?

i think Mark reported that gas mileage has decreased. In opinion, although i havent try it yet, off boost mileage shouldnt be affeted since the open loop will only be when 1psi is present. Unless u have a heavy foot and bosting all the time, then gas mileage should be affected. But a little of gas and u save the worries about the Tip in detonation, is well worth it.

Some folks have reported a slight decrease in gas mileage, but nothing major. Off boost mileage should be unchanged. This mod does allow one to run lower baseline fuel pressure, which potentially minimizes the increased fuel consumption during tip in. I have yet to see any reports from folks whohave lowered their baseline fuel pressure and are still experiencing a noticeable decrease in mileage.

Just out of curiosity Rafe, what have you lowered your static, no vacuum fuel pressure to? Holden?

'94 bone stock GSR

About 35psi. That's with 320cc injectors, a Cartech FMU, a B&M Commandflo, and bypassing a portion of the fuel around the Commandflo modified OE regulator.

Without the TPS mod I had to run at least 42psi.

Those sound like fuel pressure numbers with vacuum applied to the stock FPR, which is fine, I just want to double check that's what you mean. I was expecting around 60, but that's w/out vacuum.
